Remote Pilot Team

Operate UAS (drones) to search for missing individuals and identify terrain hazards

The Remote Pilot Team is overseen by one team lead.

Brandon Mart

Remote Pilot Team Leader

The Remote Pilot Team operates a Mavic 3 Enterprise drone with thermal and speaker capabilities. The team is able to deploy from a vehicle or remotely with their equipment being able to fit into a normal 24 hour pack.

Typical deployment is teams of two members with one pilot and one observer.

Team members maintain proficiency with regular training and host awareness sessions twice a year for new members.

All RPT pilots must obtain Part 107 certification with the Federal Aviation Administration and pass an internal proficiency test prior to being eligible to deploy.
